St. Pascal Baylon Church

This project features a tree trench supporting three elm trees and a curb cut rain garden. The rain garden is an infiltration basin containing a draintile system and variety of native grasses, including feather reed grass, tussock sedge, fix sedge, blue heaven little bluestem, and prairie dropseed. The project treats stormwater falling on the church’s Flandrau Street parking lot, removing 1.1 lbs of phosphorus from the water a year before it reaches Battle Creek.
