Rosetown American Legion
Two rain gardens filter runoff from the parking lot.
Rosetown American Legion was one of several priority projects identified through a study performed as part of a 2014 accelerated implementation grant from Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources. The goal of the study was to identify sites suitable for a practice to manage runoff, and to gain project approval from property owners.
The property owner was interested in moving forward with a project, and in 2015 two rain gardens were installed to capture and filter runoff from the parking lot. The project reduces the volume of polluted stormwater draining into Lake Owasso.
