House of Prayer Lutheran Church

This church rain garden filters runoff and protects water quality in Kohlman Creek.

The rain garden at House of Prayer Lutheran Church is one of the projects installed using funds from a Clean Water Fund watershed based funding grant from BWSR. The goal of this project was to install a rain garden that intercepts and filters rainwater runoff from the church parking lot. This reduces the volume of rainwater runoff and increases the quality of runoff that drains into Kohlman Creek.
