Kennard Street Control Structure
This control structure improves drainage along Kohlman Creek.
This project was identified in the District’s Phalen Watershed Plan to control discharge rates within the South Branch of County Ditch 18, now known as Kohlman Creek. Although not a high priority project at the time, the District had an opportunity to have this control structure installed during construction of a new county library project adjacent to the site.
In the process of reviewing the proposed library project, we approached the Ramsey County about adding the control structure to its plans. The District paid for all bid items related to the control structure.
