A rain garden filters runoff from the parking lot.
Dey Distributing was one of several priority projects identified through a study performed as part of a 2014 accelerated implementation grant from the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources. The goal of the study was to identify sites suitable for a practice to manage stormwater runoff, and to gain project approval from property owners.
The owner was interested in moving forward with a project, and in 2015 a rain garden was installed to capture and filter runoff from the parking lot. This project reduces the volume of polluted stormwater draining into Willow Creek and downstream waters.
