Overview
This project was completed to replace a dilapidated and eroded weir. The original weir structure was installed by a private property owner, and adjacent land had eroded, allowing flows to bypass the weir structure.
The Ramsey County Public Works Department was completing a wetland mitigation project near the lake, which provided a good opportunity for a cooperative project. Ramsey County agreed to add the outlet structure to its construction contract, and the District paid all costs related to the outlet bid item.
