Public Notice: Proposed 2022 Capital Improvements Program
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
REGARDING THE RAMSEY-WASHINGTON METRO WATERSHED DISTRICT CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM
Notice is hereby given that the Managers of Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District
{“District”) are proceeding with its Capital Improvements Program {“CIP”) as provided by Minn. Stat. §103B.251.
NATURE OF IMPROVEMENT: The 2022 capital improvements are as follows:
Maplewood Mall SRF Loan Debt Service | 91,848 |
Beltline and Battle Creek Tunnel Repair Debt Service | 302,863 |
Targeted Retrofit Projects | 1,500,000 |
BMP Stewardship Grant Fund | 1,000,000 |
Project Repair and Maintenance | 1,465,000 |
Wetland Restoration Projects | 500,000 |
Flood Risk Reduction Fund | 5,200,000 |
AD VALOREM TAXES: The costs of these improvements will be paid by ad valorem taxes on all property in the District, as provided by Minn. Stat. §103B.251. The proposed budget will be $10,059,710. Projected interest funds, grants and carry over funds will reduce the total proposed levy to $4,949,710.
TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING: The District will hold a remote public hearing on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. via telephone or web conference in lieu of an in-person meeting pursuant to Minn. Stat. §103B.251 and §13D.021. Access information can be found on the District’s website. Comments may be submitted in writing prior to said hearing or made in person at said hearing.
ALL INTERESTED PARTIES MAY APPEAR BEFORE THE MANAGERS AT SAID TIME AND PLACE AND PRESENT THEIR COMMENTS, CONCERNS, AGREEMENTS OR OBJECTIONS, IF ANY.
Written comments mailed to the District Office and received prior to the hearing will be reviewed at the meeting.
