This native planting area reduced impervious surface, provides pollinator habitat, and filters rainwater runoff before it drains into Battle Creek
The goal of this project was to remove about 20,000 square feet of asphalt to create a native prairie that filters rainwater runoff, creates pollinator habitat. This project is a showcase for other properties looking to remove unused impervious areas and turn them into native planting areas.
