Grass Lake

Grass Lake map

Grass Lake is a 16-acre wetland located in the city of Shoreview. It is entirely surrounded by the Grass Lake Nature Preserve and Snail Lake Regional Park, which are owned and operated by the Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Department. The parks include parking areas and trails, although there is no direct access to Grass Lake. While commonly referred to as a lake, Grass Lake is categorized and managed as a wetland.

We are currently studying ways to optimize drainage in the Grass and Snail Lake area. Updates on this ongoing work can be found in our News page, along with this Barr Engineering presentation.

LAKE WATER LEVEL
Note: Readings during winter months while the lake is frozen may show rising numbers, which is an indicator of snow and ice on the lake rather than the water level.
